must be just my mood . . .
wakea starts to laugh
and the sky starts to crack and shimmer
clouds roil up from kahiki
and kahekili adds to the rhythm
every atom starts to sway
gyrate
to an unknown mirth
palms sway and threaten
as the grey skies roll to black
and shatters into sheets of joyous wetness
as hina embraces the moment
rain puddles and streams
valleys fill and rivers run
crescendoes of embracing
slowing ebbing
to silent green

?
courage is a laser through the darkness
cauterizing as it cuts
through the sometimes smoldering past
brown and green and hissing billowing blue
handholds and steps to the future
the unknown and the maybe
self flagellation and rumination
vaporized into electrons of memory
sand to smoking glass
cauterizing as it cuts
through the sometimes smoldering past
brown and green and hissing billowing blue
handholds and steps to the future
the unknown and the maybe
self flagellation and rumination
vaporized into electrons of memory
sand to smoking glass

uwe ka lani, ola ka honua
the rain falls in sheets and washes the sleep from my eyes
i am outside soaking
and wanting weeks months years to wash away
the torrents pour down
gifts of tanaloa and tane
to bring green
to bring life
to bring sleep
i am outside soaking
and wanting weeks months years to wash away
the torrents pour down
gifts of tanaloa and tane
to bring green
to bring life
to bring sleep
from a bad place
this probably isn't the best place to start off a blog, but this is where i am . . .
delete
the emptiest electrons
taking up space in cyberspace
up in virtual smoke
from a few keystrokes
but remain
the void
streaked red and slowly crusting
words which seemed to separate from meaning
for you
whispers of almost were
become taunting laughter
so inside
unleash the churning, incandescent rivers
to burn the land
leaving scant kipuka
and rushing to the kai
to leave steam
which streaks the sky
